Some things about sex should be taboo again.

From the story of Tamar in Genesis, to the modern-day scourge of human trafficking, or the revelations of the #MeToo movement, it seems that sexual exploitation has always been with us and always will. And this is not a problem that only occurs in faraway places - chances are each of us knows someone or is someone who has experienced sexual violence of some kind. This injustice is happening in our homes, our neighbourhoods, and our communities.

But there is hope for positive change in our generation!  There are groups of concerned, skilled, caring people working in our midst, who are on a mission to see victims and perpetrators of sexual exploitation made whole again. The Seek Justice Summit is an event where we will bring some of these groups from the Calgary-area together, and connect them with concerned citizens like you!  Whether you have been working for years in the field, or you are just learning about the injustices of sexual exploitation, the SJS has something for you!

The overarching theme of this conference is Justice Begins at Home.

What am I doing that is contributing to this injustice?

What can I do to help?

The conference will begin with a movie screening on Friday night. Saturday's activities include keynote speaker sessions, ACT Now workshop sessions, and a Praying for Justice event facilitated by IJM and featuring music by HtH.

develop leaders, who will

impact culture, through the

fight for justice.

Since 2009, HtH has helped to raise over $500,000 for organizations doing front-line justice ministry, particularly those addressing sexual exploitation.

International Justice Mission is a global organization that aims to protect the most vulnerable and poor people from violence, such as sex trafficking, bonded labour, land grabbing, police and legal system corruption.

IJM's global team includes hundreds of lawyers, investigators, social workers, community activists and other professionals at work in nearly 20 communities. They work together to rescue victims, bring criminals to justice, restore survivors, and strengthen justice systems.

The first Seek Justice Summit was held in March 2018. HtH is excited to partner once again with members of IJM's Canadian team to bring you the Seek Justice Summit 2019!

We hope you will join us!
